Bed down at the foot of Motherlode, one of the Gorge’s premier climbing areas. I took a 4 mile kayaking journey on the Red River Gorge which is located in Menefee County in Kentucky along with 10 other equally adventurous colleagues. Full RV hookups, tent camping, and cabins available. Ken Braden and his family who run the business are very helpful in preparing visitors for the journey. The campground is primitive, without power or water hookups, but great for campers that love to play on the water—there’s a canoe and kayak take-out on-site. Red River Adventure is the only canoe and kayak outfitter located directly in the Red River Gorge.
